Savy “Montana” and Preston “Cowboy” were so cute together. I appreciated that their nicknames were sweet but not annoying or too cutesy. This was an instant attraction from both ends.
There was a lot of drama going on, so a couple of chapters were a trip to Preston's past with his brother. It didn't feel forced or awkward, it felt just right to help the reader understand their relationship. I thought it was a perfect mix to fill my curiosity with needed details, but not hinder the present.
Preston's character development was so good. Watching him grow and become happy had a big smile on my face.
I loved how everything came together at the end. Savannah “Savy” is such a strong female all on her own and I absolutely love that Preston does not take that from her but encourages it.
A couple of my favorite highlights:
I can't resist her even if I try. I'm drowning in her. She's strong and fierce and wildly witty. I haven't laughed around someone in a long time. I've forgotten what it feels like to be free. “Were you paying any attention when I explained it to you or were you preoccupied with other things?” I bump into him with my hips, and he captures me with his strong hands. “I'm always preoccupied by you, Montana. There's no question about that.” “Well, pay attention, this is important, can't have you getting lost. Who would make my coffee just the way I like it?”
