Doctor Sleep

Doctor Sleep was... good. I much preferred Dan Torrence's story in Doctor Sleep than that of Abra's and the True Knot to be perfectly honest. It was really neat to see where Dan ended up after the events of The Shining which is why I enjoyed the first half of the book much more than the second. It's definitely worth the read if you are at all a fan of The Shining but it's not an instant classic like that book. In the end, it's a Stephen King book so it's always going to be an enjoyable read but if you're not a diehard Shining fan (and if you've only ever seen the movie and not read the book) you could probably hold off on reading it.
