A Fourth Doctor story told from the perspective of Leela.
After the Doctor is rendered unconscious during a visit to an alien world, Leela has to take part in the Empathy Games. Which you might think would be fluffier than games based on, say, Hunger, but, um... aren't.
The world on which this is set is well rendered here, and the story manages to make effective use of its cast of two. It really wouldn't work with any companion other than Leela, even if (unlike in the previous instalment) we're as much in the dark about the nature of the world as she is. Louise Jameson once again does a particularly good job of portraying the character and giving her depth.
It really works rather well, although it's hardly outstanding, and the framing device is rather superfluous this time round. A rather good, somewhat action-oriented tale well suited to its heroine.
