Twisty mystery!
I struggled mightily with the pacing in the first half. Could be due to a busy season. Finally, I resorted to listening to the audiobook and blazed through the story much faster than the paperback.
The denial and PTSD were focused on excessively, which might have been part of the pacing issue for me.
However, the suspenseful bits carried Eason's trademark pizzazz. I was hooked on sorting out the puzzle, but I never saw it all coming.
One oopsie early on: Platform beds are beds set on boxy platforms. A person could not have rolled under one.
