Briefly in London for a family wedding, Miss Eleanor Southeran was intrigued to meet Mr. Jonas Guthrie. He was more forthright than the polished gentlemen she had been meeting, which she enjoyed. But then she discovered he was being ostracised by the ladies of the ton, and, finding out why, she was confused. This interesting man surely couldn't be guilty of such accusations!
