Somewhat disappointing. It was a reasonable over view of WW2 but not nearly enough engineering.
As an example, while discussing the run up to D-Day, he wonders “How do you move so many troops to the south of England?” and then goes on with the story of how many planes were involved.
But that is exactly the kind of question I wanted answered, but he didn't. Much later, he brings it up again and says something about train schedules but no details.
If you want to find out about logistics, radar development, Mulberry harbors, analog and digital computer development, etc, this is not the book for you.
