Evie really, really likes to win. It's Field Day, and Evie knows she will win a lot of prizes. But she doesn't win the beanbag toss. Or the musical hoops game. Or egg on a spoon. Or the balloon stomp. Then comes the sack race. Evie knows she is sure to win the sack race. Hopping along, she sees a baby bird. She stops to lift the baby bird back to its mama. She comes in last, but everyone claps. There's more than one way to win.
An inspiring story of being a good sport and doing the right thing over winning.
