This book is heavy! But... I think it because of the quality of the paper for the pictures, and OH MY! the pictures!! Absolutely gorgeous and stunning you almost want to question if they are real. The photography throughout is absolutely amazing. Then the illustrations make even the oddest of creatures appear to be possibly cuddly.
I also love the format. A giant full page photograph, another photo in a snapshot frame and bulleted facts on a note page make it interesting and appealing to look at.
This book could fit many purposes, whether it for your coffee table or your homeschool zoology course... it will make a reader quite happy and entertained. Also I'd say a good bit fascinated.
Typed on Kindle Fire.
