This was one of those books that I am glad I stuck with, because I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. It's very similar to Silence of the Lambs. Lydia (an author) interviews the notorious serial killer, the Krimson Killer, for her new true crime novel. Soon they seem to have a copycat on theirs hands, and Lydia needs Jason's help.
The first half of this book was SLOW. Like molasses slow. I actually debated with myself on whether I should just call it quits or continue. I gave it a few more chapters, and it picks up the pace halfway through. The second 50% is definitely a lot more interesting than the first half. The other issue I had with it was Lydia is god awful. Seriously, she has to be one of the most unlikable “heroines” I have ever read in a book. Arrogant. Rude. Snotty. Judgmental. I actually thought the serial killer was more likable than she was.
