This is a super read with some amazing characters. The story follows two branches of the same family at war with each other in more modern times, and is not unlike a minimized version of the Mahabharata. The hero and anti-hero are both intelligent me and their mad war dance as the author calls it, keeps us hooked. The matriarch is cunning and the hero's wife is shrewd in her own way. The gay man's story thankfully does not end on a sad note. There is a soap-opera feel towards the end.
