I just finished Feeling is the Secret - The classic guide to creating the life you desire by Neville Goddard and here are my thoughts.
If you have never heard of Neville Goddard he is one of the foundational writers of the modern spirituality movement. He has this innate ability to make you believe that you hold the very key to transform your lives.
I'm a skeptic. Always am when it comes to books that say things like anything can happen to you if you just believe in God. As someone who doesn't believe in the official landscape of religion, I am literally the best person to break this book down for you.
Firstly if you take all the religious stuff out of this book, the message here is actually very powerful. Having the ability to believe in yourself and allowing the good and the bad to guide you and teach you, I actually agree, I think you can create a really desirable life.
Having the faith in what you cannot see in any facet of your life is a heady and uplifting experience. Your life could be very different if you just stop fighting against the grain. This book will give you an idea of having an aim, building the structure and taking the good with the bad and you will come out on top.
I could have done without all the religious stuff. I think if they released this book and took all of that out, they would have a book that anyone could connect with and learn from. I understand what the original book was trying to accomplish but we are in a time where organized religion and bible quotes are massively off putting to people.
3.5 stars. I learned a lot from this book. I just wish there were less bible quotes.
