Flock

Another DNF– 82% (8H22M) in. I had no idea what the book was about going in, only that the overall ratings were pretty good and the author is well-liked. I pushed past some questionable treatment of the heroine a couple of times, but I've reached my stopping point, for the spoiler-y reasons that follow.

Cecilia and guy1 have a date. She's bought a fancy dress, got her hair did, and cooked him dinner. He's 6 hours late, and she's the a$$hole because she expected an apology from him rather than guess he had something come up. Mind you, he's not a GD trauma surgeon on call--he's an anti-cellphone thief. He couldn't call because of THE MAN and, in his opinion, she's just too young for him if she can't accept that. I stopped listening when she agreed with him. WTactualF.I didn't care about the polyamorous relationship. It was kind of weird, but to each her own. My issue was with the dudes. They're generally dicks who seem to be part of a cult. I guess I'll never know the whole 3-book story.

I guess it just wasn't for me. On to the next....
