God Don't Like Ugly

I wanted more after Ms Wiggins so I decided to look up this authors backlist. This one definitely was darker as it dealt with child sexual and general abuse but something about this authors writing and sweeping stories just hooks me. I definitely agree with the reviews that said we focused a bit too much on the main character's younger years. Looking forward to book 2 though!
