My review for this book will be for a PDF format of the book that is available to read/download for free from Archive.org.
This book is out of print and now it's very difficult to find a physical copy of it anywhere, since it was originally published in the 1978.
The Celtic origin of the curse that plagues Michael Myers is explained in this book and the horror film Halloween 6 in the film franchise.
Samhain was a sacred time for the Celtic people and Druids.
The Celtic people did divination to see who who live or die on Samhain, it was a feast of the dead, a harvest time, bonfires, torches were lit, they wore masks, specific clothing to scare away spirits and to also protect themselves from evil spirits.
The veil between the realm of the living and the realm of the dead known as the “otherworld” in the Celtic belief about the spiritual realm was at it's thinnest at this time of the year.
The curse that was placed on Enda is somehow associated with Michael Myers and it may explain how/why he is annually revived every year, to wreak havoc and stalk & kill many of his victims in a relentless pursuit that will never end, because you can't truly kill evil, it can never die, it just changes form.
In the horror film Halloween 6 Michael Myers has a Celtic/Druidic Rune branded onto their hand and there is a Celtic/Druid cult that want to revive Michael Myers for their own dark, sadistic intentions.
It's interesting that the inmates at the Smith's Grove Sanitarium are afraid of Michael Myers,he exudes a sinister, dark, creepy aura, he always get revenge for a perceived slight, anything he would perceive to be a insult, humiliating.
His selective mutism is just as creepy and disturbing, no one truly knows what he is thinking, or what he is truly capable of.
The mystery, mystique, the unknown aspects of Michael Myers makes him fascinating, his unknown motivation, the driving force for his psychological need/urge to kill, the annual gory, blood-thirsty, gorefest on Samhain/Halloween is his sacrificial offering to the Celtic/Druid Deities of death.
