Five stars, because that's what I would have given it when I was the target age range of this book, as a seven or eight-year-old. Tero's writing style is smooth and engaging, and the allegory of adoption is very smoothly worked in. This would be a great option for family storytime, and the message of salvation is clearly presented in the appendix. I've always loved stories of orphans finding a home, and this one hits all the cozy buttons. I just need a daughter of my own to read this to to make the experience perfect. :)
