I LOVE this cover! Excellent representation of the hero and story. Great use of graphics. Interesting and eye-catching typography. Great composition. Just a fantastic cover over all.
So I really enjoyed this one (for the most part). As always with this author, it was a well written and nicely paced book. It had some mild angst and drama. Some hot sex scenes. Some witty banter. A likable kid. We also get a little bit of the couple from the first book. Wrapped up with a sweet epilogue.
So why not 5-Stars? The heroine. It's no secret that I am picky about my heroines. Especially when you pair them with a likable and sweet hero which was the case here. Joel was just a super great guy. He was sweet. He was funny. He was devoted. I got really tired of the heroine's attitude towards him. I hated that it was him that pretty much had to do everything to make their relationship work. It annoyed me to NO end that after throwing a fit worthy of a 3-year-old over something that wasn't true and not giving the hero a chance to explain, the heroine slinks off and does NOTHING for weeks. Again the hero was the one doing all the work to get her back when he did NOTHING wrong in the first place! I felt the onus should have been on the heroine to make things right.
Unfortunately because of all that it did drop my rating down a star. Overall though (and if you are not easily annoyed by heroines) then this book is definitely worth the read. Two thumbs up from yours truly.
