I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have to admit, I love me a good enemies-to-lovers story. Unfortunately, this one didn't quite make it for me.
This is so hard to review, because I'm not sure if I'm being unfair and comparing it to The Hating Game, which I absolutely adored and consider like the best of this trope.
I think what I dislike is when one of the characters is such a huge almost-unforgivable asshole. It also wasn't really funny enough to offset the fighting and squablling– in fact one fight in front of their bosses made me physically cringe. :/ I just couldn't completely believe the couple.
There was a lot of good to the book– I never felt like giving up on it. The characters annoyed me from time to time, but they weren't horrible once they were working to get closer to one another. And Sebastian has some cute moments and does enough that I was able to forgive him... just barely.
I might recommend this to someone looking for an enemies-to-lovers romance.
