This was a bit different from the first book. I definitely thought this one ended a bit too quick. For me, I couldn't feel the connection between the MCs. They have a history with one another but I didn't feel it. Joia also had a hard time letting people in once they did her wrong which is completely understandable but considering the decisions they made by the end of the book, I expected to feel more than I did.
