I enjoyed some aspects of this book. But in all honesty I mainly skimmed the book and I most definitely skipped over the parts that were of the past. I found it to be a bit boring at times and very drawn. At some point I was beginning to wonder if the book even had a point to begin with. Towards the end it really began to pick up and I ended up being really intrigued. But still not enough to actually purchase the rest of the books.
One of my biggest issues was the fact that I couldn't stand or sympathize with the main girl Lauren. Although we had snippets of the past I still feel like I didn't even understand their relationship and why it even happened.
My favorite part was the incorporation of DID in the book it was a nice touch and the only thing that kept me interested in the book at all. I really would rather much prefer the book in Cal/Chris's POV.
This book annoyed me so much!! I wanted to put it down so many times but I just don't do that so HAD to read the whole bloody thing. Ugh, what a chore.
Lauren is unlikeable and naive, and needs to get a grip with her relationship. Cal was just a bit ‘blah'. Oh and what the hell was that twist?! No thanks. I only downloaded this because it was free on iBooks, even so being free is no excuse.
Also, fire the proof reader! Using the word ‘whale' instead of ‘wail'. Really?!
