I had no idea what Whitney planned on talking about in her book since this one was selected by my book club, and I went into it blind (like I try to do with every book I read and every movie I watch). I was surprised at how honest and genuine she was as she revealed her thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. She made me smile, but she also made me feel less alone in my thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I feel like this book belongs in the self-help section instead of on a shelf in Humour, but regardless of the category, “I'm Fine... and Other Lies” made me appreciate Whitney on a deeper level.
