WHEW. I didn't really know much about Jennette McCurdy before reading this (I never watched iCarly) (WE DIDN'T HAVE CABLE) but now I would die for her. I would kill her mom for her (if her mom weren't already dead). Her tone in this book is so perfect, it's such a knife-edge of acknowledging how utterly fucked-up her childhood is but with a dark humor and also enough of a sense of recovery where you feel like, okay about reading it now, I guess? but god!!
