Closing thought: THERAPY. THERAPY FOR ALL OF YOU.
Is it EVER that serious?
Genuinely though, this was a fun little book. It got a tad cheesy at times, even during the serious scenes I giggled a little bit because the dialogue was just so dramatic, but I had a good time reading this. It was suspenseful and it kept you engaged. I don't know if this is a universal experience with the book because thrillers, to be honest, are not my usual genre, but the whodunit at the end DID genuinely surprise me.
That said, EVERYONE in this book is a terrible person. Some less so than others but I found it hard to root for anyone honestly, they all did some messed-up stuff, most of them more than once. The story was good though. There was a moment or two where I had to physically get up and walk around the room because the book genuinely got me.
Spoilers for who the murderer is, consider yourself warned: FUCKING MINT. SAY IT WITH ME FOLKS: IT IS ALWAYS A MEDIOCRE WHITE MAN!!
This book was wild.
