In the first book, we never really get a good view of Leslie. Everything is set around Aislinn, and Leslie is on the edge of the spotlight. But now, we find out her life is just as complicated as Aislinn's, though minus the faeries...until now. I've always had the desire to get a tattoo, and I like the way this book centers around them. And lets not forget Niall, with a much darker past then you might've guessed.
Leslie has a hurtful past, and she needs a change. That change, to her, means getting a tattoo, but the one that she chooses, changes more then her skin. It changes her entire life. It introduces to her the Dark Court, the side of Faerie that most mortals are better off never seeing. And for Niall, the faerie always at her best friends side(and always at her side, if only she knew), this brings up a part of his past that he had spent the last couple centuries trying to forget.
