A sprightly, spunky story, just like I expect from Mary Connealy! She manages to keep her signature western flavor in her books but constantly tosses new and varied adventures to her heroes and heroines. This one is very much tied in with what happened in book 1 and it adds a few new crimes to the record of the villain and his friends.
I loved Zane and Michelle's relationship from their first meeting in the previous book. They are so clearly meant for each other and very well matched. This one builds on it, introducing Zane's siblings and letting us hear more of Michelle's family along the way. Both families are almost as spitfire as Zane and Michelle are!
I am very eager to get book three and see how they get rid of the bad guy!
