It Happened In Egypt

Seems pretty average after loving so many of the Williamsons' travel novels. It tries to be too many things, over 500 pages of epic travel, four love stories, kidnap, murder, intrigue, assassins, etc. It was honestly overwhelming in plot even though I really enjoyed the descriptions of vintage travel for Westerners in rural Egypt.
