J. I. Packer: An Evangelical Life

Book Review: JI Packer: An Evangelical Life by Leland Ryken - Packer is a worthy subject and a not nearly enough known figure in modern Christianity. But the book was uneven and Ryken strongly resisted real analysis in favor of listing data points. If you are a fan of Packer it is probably still worth reading, but it is not up to the level it should have been.

I struggle between 3 and 4 stars. The subject matter is certainly 4 or more stars. The writing is not.

I was given an audiobook copy from christianaudio.com for review. The audiobook was certainly well done and I have no complaints about the quality of the audio.
