This was recommended by my daughter. Actually, she called it in for herself, and then I grabbed it when I read what it is about. Honestly, being a faster reader has its privileges. Jade Green is a four star read for a couple of different reasons. Despite the fact that it traveled down a road a million other ghost stories have crushed into the ground (although, most times it's a nanny, not an orphan), I felt like this was a completely new story. I had no idea what was coming, and I wasn't even sure if the big bad here was the house which was super spooky or the ghost. Now, add in a human who is pretty darn evil and we have a page turner. I think it helped that I really liked all of the characters, the action was swift, and the atmosphere was really spooky. I did wish we knew more about Jade Green as a person.
Great read, I will be recommending it to patrons for years to come.
