Johnny Hart's heroes

Lal left home after her best friend died and ended up as a cook and driver for a travelling outback boxing show. One of the show's fighters is Koori Ralph, and he and Lal become best mates. They leave the show together after one too many punishing ring defeats and join Johnny Hart, who plans to drove his 2000 starving merino sheep to better pastures and wait for rain. Ages 12-16.
