Keep What Remains

Megan isn't the typical 80s teenager. She goes to school and actually likes it. When she's not at school, she's at home babysitting her younger brother. She has yet to fall in love or even have a boyfriend as her father is extremely strict.

That all changes the night her best friend Tessa arranges for her to meet Jason. Soon they are inseparable as Megan breaks all the rules to spend time with him. She falls head-over-heels in love and he soon takes over everything.

One dark night, Megan & Tessa's world is turned upside down and they are completely and utterly broken. Can they somehow come back from the pain and keep what remains?

I haven't read much YA in this genre and I'm glad I stepped out and gave this one a chance. It took me BACK as I got lost in the 80s vibes. Side ponytail. Saying “like” with almost annoying repetitiveness
