Which was the role of women in Surrealism? The reading of Breton's works, beginner and guide of that movement, for a woman interested on bringing to light what is supposed about the feminine sex, has provided some new elements on the interpretation of his works. It will also help in a better understanding of the surrealistic movement as some of its basic themes (fortune, discovering, or love) could not be discussed if we do not have a look to their main character: woman.
