Davina Fletcher has a comfortable life and a comfortable boyfriend until the death of her uncle turns it all on its head. She had lived and worked in her uncle's house and presumed it would be her inheritance. However the heir to the estate turns out to be the tall dark and handsome Jay Prescott, an American lawyer with a taste for Davina's paintings - and soon for Davina herself.
