Let Us Descend

The inhumanity and brutality was so off-putting that I wasn't sure I could keep reading, but then it began to seem to me that the story was not meant to portray reality but is more of a poem with elements of allegory, and I found the beauty in it.
I don't think my review will be helpful to anyone wondering if they should read this book, but there are other reviews that are more helpful.
