I've noticed that micro-stories can be a bit hit-or-miss. Sometimes they're so short that I struggle to understand the context, which can leave me feeling a bit silly. However, Jeremy has a way with words that is truly beautiful and engaging. His stories pull you in from the very beginning.
This collection of mixed-genre stories is a quick read, and I enjoyed every single one of them. I highly recommend picking it up - you won't regret it!
I was first introduced to this author last year and binge read a few of his stories. I quickly fell in love with his writing style and the fact that he can write across genres.
While reading his stories, I was introduced to what he calls micro-stories. I'm usually not a fan of short stories and these are even shorter than the norm but somehow...I ended up really loving them.
With this compilation, we get the author's explanations with the micro-story following. They were all enjoyable to read, but most especially I enjoyed the why/how behind the writing.
My favorites from this volume would be the stories about Jan and Stu, A Lonely Haunting and the stories about Celeste. I love the idea that the author may create a novella delving into Celeste's world.
