This one is not easy to review for me. Let me start with the things I struggled with:
In general, I'm not a fan of books written in 1st person present. I haven't read quite a number of books simply because of that.
It also took a while to get used to the story jumping all over the timeline. At the end, there was kind of a symmetry, but at first I found it quite annoying.
What's with all the drinking? Again, not a big fan.
And last, I thought the Little Gray Dress would feature more prominently in the story, kind of tie it together more than it did, it being the title and all.
With that out of the way, after the first couple of chapters, I enjoyed getting to know the characters better and spending my time with them. And besides all the drama, there was plenty of swoon-worthy romance to keep this hopeless romantic happy. :)
All in all a good debut novel, and I'd definitely read more books by Aimee Brown.
