I loved how right off the bat Leo compares his family to lasagna. I thought that was such a unique way to describe people and it made so much sense. Also, while we are on the subject of food the book made me so hungry and made me want to eat all the pasta.
I loved the banter between Leo and Rae and the romance was so cute. I loved getting to learn about the Italian and Jewish culture a little bit as well. I've learned some new words while reading this although I can almost guarantee I was pronouncing them wrong in my head.
I am so glad I agreed to read this book because I really enjoyed it. It definitely could have used a little more editing, but it wasn't so bad that it took away from my enjoyment of the book. Leo comes across a little conceited at times, but he also has a sensitive side and I loved that. I love how it ended but I wanted more. Luckily in the author's note he says he plans on making this a series so there will be more to come and I will get what I want because I definitely plan on reading them.
If you love romantic comedy, I definitely recommend giving this a go just be prepared to constantly be hungry while reading it.
