This book was pretty good.
It's definitely not something I would pick up ordinarily, but it always nice to step outside your comfort zone and read about something from an entirely different perspective than your own. I found that the main character was incredibly relatable (I cannot comment from an Indian/Muslim angle- I am neither of these things) and I really felt for her in a lot of the things that happened. At times she could be childish, but I didn't find it too distracting from the rest of the book.
It takes a while for this to pick up. The terrorist event that the plot revolves around does not even occur until halfway through the book and the hate crimes that the MC experiences happen even later. With that said, it is a short book that I found engaging, so I would probably recommend it in the future.
