I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I haven't read very much steampunk, but I think that will change now. The story starts with Eyelet, a young girl suffering from seizures. In a literal flash, the world goes dark, and stays that way. Years later, seventeen years old and on her own, Eyelet must find her father's greatest invention and cure herself before she is suspected of being mad. I enjoyed reading about all the invented gadgets. The world building was great. Are they actually on the edge of the world? I also liked the fact that there are a form of zombies too. I am ready to read the next book and have all my questions answered!
