This was a short, enjoyable little story introducing Lady Georgianna Rannoch. I'd recommend reading book one first and then going back to this one, but it could stand alone pretty well, too. I always enjoy Bowen's mysteries, and while this doesn't focus so much on the mystery itself, it's a pleasant quick read.
