The third and the most interesting part of the trilogy, I think. Now it's time for capitalism to reign free in China – under the controls of the Party, of course. Everything seems to be possible, yet old habits die hard. This more modern China is a strange country, going through a huge change.
Interesting trilogy. There's no point reading the parts alone; they need to be read one after the other, as they create an interesting, cohesive whole. An interesting view to the recent history of one of the more important countries in the world.
