Mirabel's Island

Thoroughly enjoyed yet another of Tracy's wild adventures! Sir David Lindsay wakes up aboard his yacht after a sea collision leaves the master missing and the mate dead. He barely makes it to shore on Lunga, a deserted Scottish island.

After he buries his mate and begins to explore, he is greeted by a talking jackdaw named Jack and a Scottie dog named Carlo (names courtesy of the jackdaw). The jackdaw mentions Mirabel and hops off over a trail...which leads to a house! Soon he meets Mirabel, a young and beautiful woman who is for some reason living alone on the island.

Something threatens the fair lady, something that at first causes her to shudder and change the subject. When he gains her trust, the trouble is much greater than he could have ever dreamed...
