Author Julie Danneberg writes an impressionist story of Monet, capturing the way Monet paints by telling the story of one day while he painted. Little notes on each page spread extend the story, and the illustrations by Caitlin Heimerl provide lovely painted pictures of Monet at work. The author provides many fascinating details of Monet's painting techniques in the back of the book, and she also includes an extensive bibliography.
