White Hall Funeral Home’s resident freeloader has one small problem: He has a job to do. Jake Abrams has mastered the art of the handout. From turning a job waiting tables into his own personal buffet to crashing company parties for the freebies, he has a knack for making the most of every opportunity. But his life takes a turn for the weird when a local big shot suffers a fatal heart attack. Jake soon finds himself handling the funeral arrangements, including one strange twist: His client’s last wish was to be buried with his fortune. Never one to ignore lady luck’s call, Jake begins to plan his best con yet: snatching a buried treasure that will never be missed. Complicating matters is his client’s beautiful daughter, Louisa, who is more concerned with giving than receiving, and her less-than-lawful brother, Santiago, who has his own plan to steal the loot. Now Jake must decide whether to take the money and run, or do the right thing, all while winning his dream girl’s heart and dodging her shady sibling [brother]. Or can he have it all?

The story was very good with a good plot twist. It is written by a Christian man and the Christian theme is woven through the whole book.
The main girl is Mexican and runs a nonprofit for girls who want to get away from prostitution. (it is not a big part of the book, I just wanted to mention it.)
I enjoyed it and it was written well! I reccomend!
