"A young girl is moving to a new country, and there's so much that she wants to bring: an aquarium, a pear tree, her best friend, the ocean. As she moves through the list of the things she loves, she comes to understand that while we cannot always carry things with us physically--maybe they can travel with us in other ways"--Provided by publisher.

A young girl is moving, and her mother tells her she can only take her favorite things with her. But her suitcase is too small to hold these things—her friend, her bus driver, her pear tree. What can she do?
I am very taken with the illustrations in this story and with the way the girl figures out a way to take things with her. Clever and satisfying.
