My Plain Jane

After enjoying the audiobook version My Lady Jane I was excited to finally pick up My Plain Jane. I really like the narrator and feel they did a great job. I was able to feel the emotions and the inflections ensured that jokes and fun situations came across wonderfully.

For at least half the book if not 3/4ths of the book, I was in love. I was liking this book as much as the first, but after a while it really started to drag. I wanted to all to end. Charlotte and Alexander are great characters and they helped the story, but Jane... while I don't mind her as a character, she didn't feel like a main character and I wanted so much better for her. Charlotte and Alexander felt more vivid and I wanted to follow them. I'm also not the hugest fan of how the book came to it's conclusion, but it isn't a bad book and I laughed quite often listening to it. 

I look forward to reading the next!
