Nadia the Willful

Illustrated children's story set among the Bedouin.

When her oldest brother Hamed goes missing in the desert, Nadia and her family are heartbroken. Her father commands that his name not be mentioned, but Nadia find that only speaking of him can ease her grief. Eventually she persuades her father that only thus can his memory be kept alive.
