Western mystery set in 1895 Iowa
Anna Toland, matron of the jail and student of criminology, made it a point to watch notorious gunslinger Stephen Fuller when he came to Cedar Rapids. She would see to it he didn't create trouble. But by nightfall, a man is dead and Fuller is on the run. Everyone is sure Fuller is guilty--but not Anna. She sets out to find the real killer, and uncovers secrets that tear the town apart.
