Yet another reread in an effort to not spend money on new books. I could say things about this book, but my original review still holds true. I love this book, I love the slow burn and just pretty much everything about it. Also, see below.
(original review)
(I have absolutely no clue what the cover has to do with the book...) I don't know why I get so invariably attached to these books by this author. (There's two more of the same type and one of those is loosely connected to this one.) They are short and sweet and focus more on the romance than the sex - usually the latter is fade-to-black. And I just love the way the story is told, involving characters beyond our leads (I adore Edith) and written with such emotion from the characters. Henry is so fun to watch flounder through misapprehensions and guilt and self-recrimination and, eventually, love. And Daniel is a total sweetheart that deserves the world.
