One thing I'm not keen on is the recap we have to get at the beginning of every book. I appreciate that there might be some strange person who picks up a book in the middle of a series and starts there, but if there is they shouldn't be caught up. They should feel strange and lost so that they go back and start from the beginning. That is kept light here nonetheless so that's nice. Koontz does a great job of leaving us on a cliffhanger and his usual spooky nightmares are up and about so I'm looking forward to book two.
