This is the sort of book to grab when you want to vicariously journey somewhere and live in a fairy-tale for about 300 pages. I honestly wouldn't have thought I'd enjoy this as much as I did from the synopsis; I really am not interested in the hospitality industry, despite many travels and even a summer job at a conference center that was primarily one of housekeeping. But Carlson did a great job of making Anna's career relevant to readers by explaining it, yet not getting bogged down in details. It's a clean, sweet, romantic jaunt to New York and perfect for a summer read.
