IT almost got a 4, if I wasn't so stingy with them. It got me to the other books by her, and the ending alone would be worth a star. Really great book if you're looking for family drama, a bit of a thriller, a bit of mystery, the whole guessing game that sometimes adulthood becomes. I was gonna say it would be perfect for an afternoon with lots of tea and wind, but let's face it, it's summer in Brazil. It was good even in this godforsaken heat and with us home since going out is sort of banned for the pandemics.
